A TAP portugal vai iniciar a operação Ponte Aérea na rota Lisboa – Porto a 27 de Março de 2016, das 6 até às 21 horas. Os voos vão realizar-se às horas certas desde a capital e às meias horas desde a cidade Invicta. A maioria das ligações é operada numa aeronave ATR72 (configuração Y70 com 70 lugares) que pertence à White Airways, excepto as duas primeiras frequências que que são num Airbus A319, e que saem de Lisboa, no horário das 6 e 7 horas da manhã, e regressam do Porto às 7h30 e 08h30.
A companhia Aérea portuguesa opera actualmente 7 voos por dia, com a ponte aérea vão passar a 16, excepto à quinta-feira e domingo que são 17.
A operação entre o aeroporto da Portela em Lisboa (LIS) e o aeroporto Sá Carneiro no Porto (OPO) tem a duração de uma hora nos ATR e ligeiramente menos nos Airbus A319.
